Essential Functions
Preparation and post general journal entries
Assist with financial statement preparation and review
Complete detailed month-end account reconciliations for complex trial balance accounts
Ensures the validity of all prepaid and accrual entries
Administrator for corporate credit cards and monthly posting to GL
Add new assets to accounting software for accumulated depreciation and expense calculation
Prepares and enters all journal entries necessary to properly reflect fixed asset additions, dispositions and depreciation in the general ledger
Reconciles the fixed asset system balances to the general ledger on a monthly basis and investigates and corrects all differences
Generates reports from fixed asset system as required for financial, tax and audit purposes
Acts as back-up for Accounts Payable
Investigate and resolve issues that related to A/P and inventories and help improve the current A/P process
Prepare and reconcile all unvouchered invoices
Other duties as assigned

Work Environment
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines
Occasionally required to lift or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing and participate in random testing program
Position requires working indoors in a professional office atmosphere
Must possess valid driver’s license and are required to drive company vehicles
Supervisory Responsibility
May supervise 1 to 2 Accounting Assistants
Required Knowledge
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience plus five years of accounting experience preferred
